On this wax saucer, Zac Nelson, of CHLL PLL and Hex Love fame, throws down two side-long floaters bent solely on mental coaxing into another zone. Patient, yet involved tones slip and shimmer into and out of perspective. The sounds liquify and coat your entire persona.

Culled from sleepless nights spent in the warm embrace of Jóhann Jóhannsson, Biosphere, Angelo Badalamenti, Gescom, and Pop Ambient compilations; William Cody Watson (Gremlynz, Malibu Wands, Pink Priest, et al) furthers his musical layering of dreamy ambiance, droning minimalism, and experimental electronics with Her Tusk Was Adorned With Rose Petals. Hissing feedback shards pierce waves of static-soaked synth to create tonal atmospherics for post-midnight trips into the glow of the street lights -- images begin to form of wolves gnashing their teeth, wedding dresses on fire, and cold hands pulling worms from the earth.

Age Wave is Ren Schofield, known best for his stints as God Willing and as a member of such noise-dog legends as Dynasty and Mercy Light -- among others. With Age Wave, Schofield channels a less distorted sound, as he experiments heavily with tape loops and a Juno-106. The outcome is a textural, sci-fi-cadelic workout, bringing to mind various aspects the likes of Tangerine Dream, Experimental Audio Research, Eliane Radigue, Bee Mask, and more. Yeah, it's down-to-earth soundscapes shot right into outer space, all the way to Saturn and back. Hold on to your butts.
