An album of two halves. Hershlag(1-3) are ambient drone pieces with colourful layers ranging from ominous to festive. They have an almost hypnotic feel but a slight menace prevents complete release. Glassics involves 3 tunes made out of recordings which feature fingers and a bow on crystal glasses. 2 of the tunes are processed and mutated, while the middle tune is not. Uraemia is music which introduces notes slowly and without urgency yet manages to be intense. No sound or pitch has priority over another. An album with themes. It features dictaphonings and chamber-type pieces broken-up by tiny recordings of wind coming through a ventilator. Most of the dictaphonings come from the city with rain, fireworks and many other things. There are also distorted clips from documentaries. The harsher and abrasive parts contrast with tunes done on harmonium and bicycle. (it is as close as i get to a "concept"album---shhhh!!!) John Cromar. 8 tracks, total running time - 39:58
