michael tanner and sharron kraus: - in the rheidol valley - morc records -lp - 17$

As the title of their joint album suggest, this lp was recorded in the Rheidol Valley in Wales. Sharron and Michael took some instruments with them, went for a long walkin the valley, and did some recordings there. This results in a mix of improvisations, songs with a folk structure and some field recordings. The album has a very organic feel to it from start to finish.

These two tracks are the first to be heard from the much anticipated collaboration of Dawn Smithson & Aaron Martin. Dawn's haunting melodies, clear vocals and disorted minimal guitar lines blend in perfectly with Aaron's vague and wide string arrangements.

annelies monsere -somewhere someone - morc records -7" - 5$

her first 'official' solo-output since 2005 -after collabs with ao jessica bailiff and birch book. pretty much focussing on organ sounds and harmonics, in her unique style: scarce, minimal and haunting tracks. Somewehere Someone is probably more dark and droning than previous works. ltd to 170 copies, comes in handwritten and handstamped sleeves

edgar wappenhalter- on the beach - morc records - lp - 20$

On The Beach brings a perfect symbiosis of Wappenhalter's reverb-drenched folksongs, and his ecstatic tapeloop-experiments. Expect plenty of songs that blend shoegaze and psychfolk, or that sound like a beachparty heard from so far away that you can't tell what the dj is playing, only that it sounds familiar and that you like it.
