c

entente cordiale - the recognition of common interests – phantom limb recordings - cd - 6$

A split release with Carbon Records, who describe this pro-manufactured CD release succinctly as "nearly 48 minutes
of sometimes sparce, sometimes dense, guitar work by this trio consisting of Will Veeder (Hinkley, Torpedoes, formerly
of Muler), Chris Reeg (Blood and Bone Orchestra, Crush the Junta, Ian Downey is Famous, DvsC, Ada le O, The
Years) and Joe Tunis (Joe+N, Crush the Junta, Tuurd, SQ, DvsC, Ada le O, formerly of Hilkka and Pengo). other
instrumentation includes heavy synth, droney melodica and homemade pipe chimes. co-released by Phantom Limb
Recordings.

f

fantastic ego – the river is down – phantom limb recordings - 3" cdr - 5$

His second release for Phantom Limb, Ged Gengras' Fantastic Ego worked with our inventory of available blank cd-rs
and thankfully gave us a treasure chest of amazing material, shrunk into a thimble of digital data.  What this little
monster lacks in diameter, it makes up for in sheer psych experimentalism and a potent addition of haunting nostalgia.
Expect the things you liked about Fantastic Ego (either solo or with Antique Brothers or Fantastic Sleep), but add to
that some things you never knew you missed before (like exotic strings and tribal drums).

metal rouge – eulogy for keeler – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$

Sometimes the roses grow close to home, right outside your window.  We in Los Angeles are proud to have this
phenomenal duo making their triumphant and terrifying tones in our backyard.  Andrew Scott and Helga Fassonaki are
true creators of sonic thickness, merging razor strings with buzzing overdriven fuzz, but also laying back to a deep
silence and imaginary pulses.

"Eulogy for Keeler" is a document of their trip to the American desert and the ghost towns within.  It is a photograph
taken with these phantoms, an interview with the forgotten and voiceless dead.

grandma larkey - the grand malarkey– phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$s

These guys rule!  Take the forces of Nanopop and Insect Mind Burial Ground and mash them into a fine lysergic broth.
Add tectonic chunks of deep drone and hectic fuzz.  Mix liberally with indignant rage at the raping of nature by man's
industry, and top it all off with a healthy dose of cynical humor.  What you have is a recipe for the Grand Malarkey, a
reckless and inventive slab of noise art, a testament to skull-flowering everywhere.

warm climate - circle dub / regrettable form – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$

Never judge a book by its cover.  A simple adage, but very appropriate in this case.  Warm Climate's Seth Kasselman
might not seem like the most forceful and intense guy, but this orchestrator of chaos has created one of the most
brutal works of music to date.

"Circle Dub / Regrettable Form" is a concerto in 3 parts for the noise set, taking clarinets and shimmering guitars and
laying them alongside found sound and heavy doses of raging deep static.   A profound and mind-altering experience,
to be sure.

c

century plants – fingers – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$

Another upstate New York free-form group (must be something in the water?), Century Plants' two members hail from
Albany and lay down some heavily crazed guitar action on this release (their second one).  Featuring members of
Burnt Hills, Century Plants have crafted a diverse world out of just three tracks, showing a complexity only outweighed
by the passion that created it.

6majik9 – rubber god head – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$

From the musical collective broadcasting Terracid, Brothers of the Occult Sisterhood, and other celestial craziness
comes the majikal sounds of 6Majik9.  Channelling Coltrane through a cracked mirror image of the No-Neck Blues
Band, the music of "Rubber God Head' is a new form of world music, a world of not just distance and space, but of time
and past and future.

b

bjerga / iversen – drawn to the light like moths to the flame – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$

First group that I wanted to release a cd-r for that wasn't friends of mine... and
now I have the chance... And "Drawn to the light" is a doozy.  One monumental
track of hiss and spark and growing tension, a vector dance through the eye
of a needle or an eye of the hurricane.  If you know these two mens' work, then
you will realize this is essential... If you don't, this is a damn fine place to start.

c

chaier orchestra – ciudad – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$

Marko of FInland has been making music for a long time (with releases on Foxglove,
Cut Hand and Sloow Tapes)  But he has never made a collection of sounds as brutal
and intense at this yet.

Phantom Limb is honored to release this truly epic set of sonic mayhem,
blasted rhythms and blurred soundscapes.  Glitched out bliss from across the sea!

f

fantastic sleep – new master – phantom limb recordings - cassette - 4$

Recorded on the two most harrowing days of the year (Halloween and Tax Day), this cassette
documents the on-going assault on boring drone music.  Created by Ged Gengras (Fantastic
Ego, Antique Brothers, and Thousands) and Grant Capes (Sleepwalkers Local 242, (VxPxC),
and Thousands), this sounds like none of that... OR this sounds like all of that mixed together
and shot through broken subwoofers, chewed on by an electric dog and then shat out onto
a landmine!

r

rob funkhouser – allegory of the caves – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$

"Allegory of the Cave" is the first release of this young lad from the Midwest and it is pretty stunning in its minimalist
appeal.. Layering piano and organ in long icy runs, Rob adds in bells and light percussion to create a shimmering
ambient piece over 35 minutes long.

thousands – sand and stone –phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$

Four seekers went into the Joshua Tree desert, armed with acoustic instruments, battery powered amps, and a few
bottles of whisky.  As night descended, the four huddled together and made up songs for protection against the wild
darkness.  Eventually, it was the darkness that feared the sound.

This release is housed in a sturdy cardboard pack, with many Bedazzled adornments.

vxpxc – of indeterminate age – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 7$

The richest hues, soaked in heavy decay.  The brightest tones, steeped in analog fuzz and digital fog.  The sound of one
hand waving away the smoke from a burning bush.  This new cd-r from (VxPxC) stacks layers of analog and digital
keyboards with looping guitars and voices, and peppers the whole mix with a slew of acoustic instruments (from banjos to
accordions to violins).

This cd-r is protected from the forces of nature by a black plastic clamshell perfectly matched with
industrial photos by Andrew Smrz.

p

sleepwalkers local 242 - things we put our friend through - phantom limb recordings - 3" cdr -4$

18 minutes of drugged out bedroom folk strained through cheap
computers.  Think Low on more pain killers and Newcastles.
Comes in a sickly sweet sky blue and clouds spraypainted
plastic case, with printed insert and spraypainted 3 inch cd-r

fantastic ego - trips the light - phantom limb recordings - cdr - 7$

From Ged Gengras (Antique Brothers) comes this accomplished take on
the new wave pop song ("Down in the Park") and some inspired no wave guitar
and sonica instrumentals.  For fans of Current 93 and any Beta-Lactam Ring
  releases

quetzolcoatl – sleeping within the sun – phantom limb recordings - cdr - 6$sold out

Easily one of the hardest working young artists in the free-form music world today, Tim Hurley, aka Quetzolcoatl, has
been releasing his sonic bliss like a hundred flowers blooming.  Luckily, he stopped by our garden and gave us this
collection of works, a cosmic swirl of keyboard pulses and vocal loops.  Guaranteed to make you nod out and then
undergo some powerfully transformative dreaming.

antique brothers - emerge murky sunlight - phantom limb recordings - cdr - 7$sold out

Volume five of this duo's phenomenal acoustic guitar manipulations, this is
actually only their second release.  Following the critically acclaimed debut
release on the House of Alchemy, this album finds the brothers in a much
more communicative and realized state.  For fans of Six Organs of
Admittance and Clipse alike.

north sea – snake root ceremony – phantom limb recordings - cdr -6$sold out

You thought you knew what DIgitalis Industry honcho Brad Rose played the bouzouki?  Well, you haven't this set of
recordings yet.  Thought lost in the postal system or perhaps at the bottom of a pile of packages on some other label's
desk, it is now time for this incredible acoustic document to be unleashed.  Reverbed-out folk tunes at their finest.

This release is housed in a sturdy cardboard package, stamped with the North Sea seal, and contains
a printed insert and a non-spraypainted cd-r (cuz Brad hates that stuff)

g

ghost brames / przewalski's horse- mædømptile malaxaste / Ronny, This is for you – phantom limb recordings - cdr -6$sold out

The most amazing part about releasing music is the chance to meet musicians and creators from around the world.
Here we have a release of material by France's Ghost Brames of the Cerf and Belgium's Przewalski's Horse.  Two
heavy sets, almost better suited for a vinyl release, but in this case, one doesn't need to choose a side.  Both of these
woozy cataclysmic jams are SIDE A!

changeling – five hundered nights – phantom limb recordings - cdr -6$sold out

Recorded at the lavish Phantom Limb Recording studios, aka my house, this new cd-r from Los Angeles' premier
composer of blissed out loops sounds like it was transmitted directly through time and space from Kevin Shield's brain
while recording "Loveless".

Lush and yet desolate, this is the best work of Changeling so far, and it only promises to get better.  Two massive
guitar and keyboard compositions, flying high above the ground, casting shadows on our hearts.
