kplr - mechanical mind space b/w mechanical motion simulator - prairie fire - cass - 7$

Dex Brightman, who provided the great art for our Ajilvsga/Gremlynz split cassette (PF020) last year, approached us with some tracks from his experimental unit Kplr. Mechanical Mind Space and Mechanical Motion Simulator are the results of Dex & Jair Espinoza's attempts at creating Sentient Electronic Systems. In their own words: "We've been recording some 'automatic music'… By auto music, I mean we've been building patch/trigger webs in such a tangle that the synthesizers basically play themselves. Only gradual, minor adjustments to various effect attack/decays + some reso/freq fidgeting." The result is two great sides of heavy cosmic psychedelics we could have easily have passed off as a rare find of some mad German sound scientist. Listen and convert. Pro-dubbed w/ download code.

gomeisa - tourniquet - prairie fire - cass - 7$

As Gomeisa enters the end of this particular lifecycle – yes, Cole has confirmed that this may be the last new HNW recording he'll be making – it does so in a spectacular style. Two full walls of inspired static void come violently rushing from the electronic source to penetrate flesh and bone. I really want to throw up some nasty sick satanic barf and skeez imagery, but you all know that this ain't some retarded pedal noise – this is 100% blackened art - serious shit for serious fiends. Come hold the match to the cosmic dog's still kicking body.

pink priest / horders - split - prairie fire - cass - 7$

\About a week after we released the Gremlynz/Ajilvsga split tape (PF 020), the Pink Priest (William Cody Watson) contacted us with plans for another release. This time he brought with him Horders, the musical project of Houston visual artist Give Up. Pink Priest offers up a rapturous side of dark creeping menacing psychedelic drones while Horders takes on a loner folk via black metal trip. It all makes up for an awesomely dark ambient release that won't disappoint.

mssng / greenhouse - split - prairie fire - cass - 7$

We've been scheming on this on for a long time. We're from Winnipeg & because few people give a shit about this prairie burg, we seek out and showcase the most talented underground sounds this frozen hole has to offer. MSSNG is Lee Breyfogle , a Montreal (via Wpg) based bedroom recorder relatively unknown to most drone/drift folks – we here a PF HQ are seeking to rectify that... we think he's brilliant – so will you – expect big things. Curran Farris however has seen his Greenhouse project expand to greater heights with each successive release. His Golden City cassette (PF 016) didn't hang around long and we expect neither will this. A 20 minute record of what listening to Taj Mahal Travellers, Sunn 0))), and Growing does to the minds of Canadian youth.
