Lieven Moana as Dolphins Into The Future dedicates his latest effort to the Azores, a remarkably beautiful volcanic archipelago that lacks very little by way of inspiration. The ambient conjurer weaves glorious tones and minimal percussion with brilliant and evocative field recording, having spent several weeks on the island cluster for this body of work. “Once an island gets born,” Lieven articulates, “it’s a continuous struggle, a continuous dialogue, a learning, a BATTLE and cooperation of influences. The sea starts bashing on it’s shores. Erosion starts the complete demolition of the island. But at the same time, sun and sea give birth and food… Archipelagos have a heavy rhythm.”

julian lynch - droplet on a hot stone - underwater peoples - 7" - 7$
Julian Lynch is from Ridgewood, New Jersey. The songs featured on this 7” single were originally created for the 2008 album, Born2Run. The recordings contain both acoustic and electric guitar, a drum kit, a keyboard and Julian’s voice. Everything was recorded on a TASCAM Portastudio 424. While the initial taping began in Julian’s family basement (birthplace of the Alex Bleeker and The Freaks debut), the brunt of the work took place in an empty apartment in Madison, Wisconsin. In a new town with no furniture, Julian recorded the album.

Pill Wonder is the solo works of Will “Murder” Murdoch. This entire pop masterpiece was recorded with a little kid drum set, a recorder, an electric guitar of the fender telecaster variety, boxes of macaroni and cheese, and a delay pedal in the room he's spent all 22 years of his life (at his mom's house) on an old, humongous DELL desktop computer with the really old and shitty illegally downloaded recording program Adobe Audition 2.0

Alex Bleeker & The Freaks self titled album was recorded live on June 11th, 2009. The bulk of the session took place in the basement of Julian's childhood home, in Ridgewood, NJ. The group consists of Alex Bleeker (Real Estate), Matt Mondanile (Real Estate, Ducktails), Martin Courtney IV (Real Estate) and Julian Lynch. Some of the songs mirror the boys collective disposition, that of a gentle and warm young man. Others however, invite the listener in for a glimpse at that same boy's restless, virile soul. A sensitive type may describe it all as Raw, Live, Honest Rock and Roll with Heart. Alex Bleeker & The Freaks have been friends since High School and as healthy, red blooded American men so often choose to do, they've channeled their romantic energies into an electrified musical powerhouse. It's as classic and genuine as an adolescents Playboy collection or a fat, bald man in a Red Corvette.
