Evacuated Materials is the follow-up to Love in Vein - BLOOD!’s debut on Jerkwave Tapes from 2008. Ominous sounds buzz, grate, oscillate, and take on a life of their own, while bizarre 911-calls mixed with minimal waveforms tell stories about things growing in your mouth and other disruptive phenomena. i’m not a huge fan of the press release description game where the label goes on to babble and make absurd quotes like “sounds like every band that has sold a shit load of records this past month if you combine sunno))) with your mamma then you know exactly how great this record is”. i’d just like to humbly state to me it comes off like the bardo pond brothers recording in the lo-fi high fuzz induced kitchen of the goslings. all label claims aside listen to the clip!! package comes packed in a double cover center opening sleeves with the outer shell being a vellum overlay wonderfully executed graphically by chase middaugh.

I recorded it in 2000 a few months before I started the PseudoArcana label, and given that my initial idea for
P.A. was for it to focus on harsher and more abstract musics the simple melodic folk songiness of 'Short Road' resulted in it sitting on the shelf for much longer than it perhaps should have.
There was a great poet who said of his work that all he had ever done was write the same poem again and again, trying to get it right. I've sometimes felt that I only have the one song inside me, and I've approached that song from a hundred radically different angles and have ultimately become convinced that this song can never in fact be realised in any definitive way.

second solo release from finland's jukka, half of the live incarnation of islaja, and a real groovy guy in general. jukka made a handful of these discs for last summers usa tour, but they pretty much slipped under the radar, so now we've got a new edition for all of you who missed it... extremely trance inducing stuff here. think a pack of tiny woodland creatures gobbling mushrooms and trying to play terry riley's 'a rainbow in curved air' over and over till the sun comes up and everyone turns back into moss. oh, and half way through they put down their organs & saxes and pick up guitars & hand drums to lay down a killer acid folk groover, just for fun.... really, i think that's what happened. very good stuff... packaged in a tri-fold art paper cover with sweet white on black 'phantom girl' paste-on art by merja (islaja), heavy stock gloss insert & stamped black bottom cdr. numbered edition of 180 copies.(time-lag)

first (sort of) proper release from this amazing & fairly mysterious uk unit after two great and totally under the radar private press cdrs. some of the best stuff of its kind we've laid ears on this side of the 2000s. layers of highly electrified sparse electric guitar strums and plucks, beautiful & deeply zoned female vocals, spatters of percussion, looming bass rumble, tingly electronic effects, and cosmic drones all floating in stranded submarine reverb. the sound & spirit both instantly bring to mind the more meditative side of prime mid 90s new zealand action ala alastair galbaith's 'morse', slow motion dadamah, maybe even a more hi-fi garbage and the flowers, yet without really sounding much like anything else… packaged in a tri-fold black art paper cover with beautiful full color paste-on art by belgium's sloow bart, paste-on interior, stamping, all black disc, etc. first handful of copies have extra thick brown paper variation. numbered edition of 100 copies.

Deep in the swirling depths of the ocean a terrible yet wondrous beast stirs slow but sure amidst great forests of sea algae. Taking on the form of a pair of conjoined drown-ed sailors it sets forth upon the currents determined to loose its apocalyptic vision upon the earth via droning sea shanty and great humming hymn.
Sunken is the duo of sunken sailors Stefan Neville (Pumice) and Antony Milton (Nether Dawn/A.M etc). Using a range of organs, sonar gear, live tapeloops, vocals and an unhealthy amount of submarine reverb they create a glorious droning pop noise. 'Eye Electric Organ, Brain Electric Nerve' follows on from their acclaimed self titled debut (also on PseudoArcana) and various compilation appearances.
